How does ultrasonic cleaning work?

Ultrasonic cleaning uses cavitation bubbles induced by high frequency pressure (sound) waves to agitate a cleaning solution. This agitation creates a strong force to remove contaminants adhering to substrates. This method is ideal for cleaning carburettors as the process cleans both the exterior and the interior areas, including the jets, removing stale fuel and also any carbon deposits.

We only use distilled water to prevent contamination of aluninium parts by metals present in tap water and the finest cleaning solution. No compromise for the best result.

The process is also excellent for brake callipers prior to reconditioning as it removes all traces of dirt & grit from around the seal areas and, if the bleed nipple is removed, any trace of contamination is removed from the interior fluid passageways.

The process will not remove staining or oxidation on the exterior surfaces but for an improved appearance the exterior can be vapour blasted prior to this process.

    All components to be processed must be degreased and all parts such as bearings and bushes removed before ultrasonic cleaning can be carried out. We can do this but it will increase the cost. It’s best if you clean the components before their arrival.
